Speed Dreams
Established in 2017 on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland by Seumas Macleod
With my love of all things speed related from an early age and being from an island, fast boats were an obvious choice.
This led to me owning a number of Thundercats with a range of engines and a large number of propellers.
From 2012 to 2016 I studied Naval Architecture and High Performance Marine Vehicles at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.
Using skills gained from this degree including CAD and CFD I was able to design first the V1 and later the V2 Forge Marine propellers.
RECORD BREAKING
In 2018 I beat the PF850 World Water Speed Record at Coniston Records Week, achieving a maximum speed of 74.9mph in my Thundercat
A return in to Coniston in 2021 was less succesful although achieving a top speed of 78.17mph, the week ending with a flip at 75mph
More to come.
Future plans include returning to Coniston and attempting to better my own speed.
Forge Marine propellers are shipped all around the world and end up on a variety of applications, both recreational and racing
